Sept 17 pigeon forge TN

What a crazy day! When we were ready to go out, it was about 10 amish. We had breakfast but only a bowl of fruit. The weather was rain so we changed our eating out plan to lunch.

We get in the car and drive to the main street. It was insane! It was a parking lot of cars not moving. We got in line. We waited for so long that when we got to the first street, we turned left.

It was like when I was a kid riding my bike, I tried to get lost, but inevitably, I would come to a street I knew.

Well, this was a crazy ride like on a roller coaster. It was zig zag very curvey and up and down mountains, My ears were popping my stomach was leaping. The views of homes were just gorgeous and huge. Some were log cabins. We were going to fast and zig zag all the pictures didn’t come out. But when we finally came up to the parking lot, pretty much on the other side of the main road, it was slow but moving. But, what a fun ride. We couldn’t retrace it if we wanted to.

Well, then we wanted to get on the hywy the line to get on was insane. We must have sat there for 40 minutes and to make matters

worse, there was an accident at the first exit. We easily lost an hour. We start to move aah finally on the road again.

But, no, the cars are putting their brakes on and off, so we stop and go for no reason. The weather was not in our favor either. The rain was also off and on.

Smokies smoking from rain love it!

The only thing that made it interesting were the trucks above their wheels and the many antique cars on the road.

After 7 hours, we got to the hotel around 7ish. It was supposed to be about 4-5ish. We checked in, and we were hungry and tired. Next door was a Cracker Barrel. Not that we like to eat their but it was in walking distance.

Earlier, I did research for a restaurant and found a Mexican restaurant, but it was 5 miles down in town.

We get to the desk, and Cracker Barrel tells us it’s a 35 min wait. REALLY.? No we are going to the Mexican restaurant. The entire way there, if we saw 5 cars, it was a lot. We get to this restaurant in town and it’s packed with cars. Ah, that’s where everyone is now. I so wish my dearest MD friends were here because when you come in, the waiter says, “OLA!” I started laughing, The first thing I ordered was a large margarita. It came in a fish bowl, it was huge. I couldn’t lift it. It was delicious as well! Our food was yummo! Delicious! I ordered a seafood quesadella, and it was stuffed with shrimp and crab so good. He ordered a combination plate, which was also yummo! Oh, and the guacamole was so ceamy! Great dinner! I think the name was El paso in walterboro SC.

We went back to our room and both of us were stuffed. We got ready for bed and turned the TV on. But, I think I passed out. He helped me finish my drink.

Well, I hope you liked my blog today. There is only one day left on this trip. I am so honored that you read my diary of travels. But, don’t worry, another is coming in November, so stayed tuned then at the end of Nov.

Luv yas and enjoy!

  1. There must be a trick to get into one of those raised cars. It would be awkward to do holding a baby or big purse!

    Love those margaritas:)

Went to GHWC yesterday and we had a great speaker!
