On the way home! Thurs was a routine of cleaning up the RV.we have to put everything in its place, nothing on the floor, and be kind to the cat as he knows something is up. We had knishes for breakfast! Imagine! It’s not really breakfast food. They were good. However, nothing beats the ones sold on the carts in the streets of NYC! I remember when I had assignments in the city, I would always get one for lunch aah the memories!
Friday
We leave at 9am. The mountains were so weird, looking as if they were smoking from a fire. It must be the clouds from the rain and humidity. It was sticky outside. We went thru VA. The traffic and road ways crossing each other is a sight to see at tysons’ corner. In fact, I think i saw more cars than I have ever seen all together in Palm Coast! It was insane not to mention the huge trucks and amounts that are on the hywys. We finally, after 6 hrs of driving, got to our campground. It’s pretty easy to set up as we are not unhooking the RV.
Our friends finally came to pick us up to eat in a restaurant they picked for this evening. The towns appeared very old but well kept. We ate in Jackson North Carolina. The name has four words, jackson Pub, with two other words. It was a modern type and was packed when we left. The food was excellent and moderately priced. I had seafood pasta, yummo! He seems to be getting on with his issues with his knees and legs. They are fun folks. It was great to see them.
They drove us back to the campground. We watched TV and went to bed. we got up early during these long treks on 95S.
Thanks again for stopping and reading my blog. We are winding down to the finale. In fact,the next place says we will meet some storm. We will probably stay put during the storm.
